VIA APSYRTIDES
Long distance hiking trail on Islands Cres & Lošinj
KVARNER | CROATIA
What is VIA APSYRTIDES?
The mountain trail named Via Apsyrtides connects the northernmost point (Cape Radovan on the island of Cres) with the southernmost point (Cape Jablanac on the island of Ilovik) of the Cres-Lošinj archipelago, jointly referred to as “Apsyrtides” during the Antiquity. This system of historical walking trails connects and demonstrates the natural and cultural attractions of the archipelago while providing its visitors with compelling information on the islands’ heritage, history and biodiversity.
The trails are clearly designated with the V/A mark and span 149 kilometres, comprising 11 stages with different levels of difficulty and 4,000 metres of elevation.
Here you can find detailed descriptions of all the trails, GPS tracks, service information, as well as instructions on equipment and arrival, attractions, etc. At Via Apsyrtides, all those who enjoy an active holiday can find a section to their liking or perhaps attempt to break a trail record.
